Who can see your viewing activity?
Welcome to all
If anyone would like an invite to the CG Christmas Party on 16th Dec please email me firstname.lastname@example.org
Please share any questions for Dermot or Magda here and I'll invite you to ask them :)
I presume most of your attendees are RSC members, for our meetings probably 90% are not RSC members is this a recruiting opportunity
Has anyone organised private breakout room for business to business contacts
no as no experience of doing so
Have you tried using Slack?
Slides for promoting the free 2021 Aff membership cand be downloaded here: https://www.rsc.org/globalassets/03-membership-community/connect-with-others/through-interests/useful-documents/virtual-event-planning/affiliate-member-information_tcm18-252220.pptx
The 4x3 layout is here (if that's etter!): https://www.rsc.org/globalassets/03-membership-community/connect-with-others/through-interests/useful-documents/virtual-event-planning/affiliate-member-information_4x3_tcm18-252246.pptx
Ours was a virtual bar too
How expensive is Slack to use for say 300 conference delegates?
Chris, how did they see the posters in the breakout room?
What is the cost of wonder.me?
Slack is free I think
We are running a conference on Zoom tomorrow - https://www.formulation.org.uk/pl - the posters are on the site with embedded recordings - similar to Chris's approach
We are giving suppliers breakout rooms like exhibition tables.
I think having poster presenters in pairs was a very good idea.
Also, in a conference the vendors have freebies
Agree Chris it's for them to figure it out!
CICAG YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmcWrkHzDFnC07Vk4doQTsw includes poster and workshops.
Thanks Chris :)
Ask them how they are and what challenges they are facing now are good opening questions in new networking opportunities
You can also tell people what question is coming ahead of time
Fear of engagement or saying the wrong thing sometimes holds people back
